The base of this zone offense was created by long-time Villanova head women’s basketball coach, Harry Perretta. The offense provides great movement, spacing, and multiple different looks for the defense to guard. The offense provides clear rules for the players to follow while also giving them freedom to work within those constraints. Create natural overloads, set well-timed pin screens, and generate great player and ball movement. There are “advanced offensive actions” added to the offense, as well as a couple of zone plays to add to your playbook.
